Job Description
The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of Demonware and providing a key role in the short and long term strategic planning for the business. Potential candidates will have proven high performance and the ability to organize others in a dynamic and complex environment. A suitable candidate will also have experience with managing high-performing technical teams across multiple sites and multiple time zones. Responsibilities:
- Direct and participate in growth activities to support business objectives and plans
- Advise CEO and management for making key changes in various issues and business decisions
- Work with CEO, management, and HR to address talent acquisition/resourcing, career development and retention within Demonware
- Set and assign operational goals for departments
- Develop, establish and direct execution of operating policies to support company objectives
- Fiscal responsibility for the operating expenses of Demonware including helping develop, forecast, and execute the annual budgets
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to analyze and solve complex business problems
- Oversee both external and internal aspects of projects
- Ensure teams employ current development best practices (e.g. scheduling techniques, staffing plans)
- Successful execution of business strategies for company products and services
- Represent Demonware at Activision HQ and represent HQ to Demonware
- Lead interaction and partner with Corporate functions (e.g. Studio Finance & Ops)
- Maintain professional competencies and adhere to ethical standards

Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements:
- Candidate must have 5+ years experience in an Operations leadership role
- 8+ years experience in a management role
- Candidate must have prior experience leading operations in the technical field: backend systems (i.e. server engineering and/or DC operations), ecommerce, security, ‘Web 2.0’ scale operations or mobile space
- Bachelor’s degree; Master in Business or Engineering preferred
- Strong resource planning and project management experience, including budgeting and forecasting
- Strong business application and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills
- Solid working knowledge of business development and strategic planning
- Demonstrated leadership ability across all areas of the business
